Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh dan Greetings to all.

All praise to Allah SWT for His blessings has allowed the Judicial and Legal Service Commission (JLSC)
to successfully carry out its functions as stipulated in the Federal Constitution, which is recorded in
this JLSC Annual Report for 2022.

Throughout 2022, the JLSC received a total of 4,997 applications registered in its Public Services
Commission Employment Registration System (SPA9). The JLSC has also managed the permanent
appointment of 30 candidates to the position of Legal Officer Grade L41 and the contract appointment
of two (2) candidates for Legal Officer Grade L41.

There are 302 officers who received confirmation in service and 16 officers who were conferred with
pensionable status. On the other hand, The Commission approved the promotion of 365 officers and
260 officers to act on various grades/posts. The JLSC also had to decide on one (1) disciplinary case.

Considering all these matters, the JLSC held four (4) Commission Meetings involving 35 Commission
papers in 2022. In addition, 116 Commission papers and 50 Board of Officer’s papers were managed
through the eCirculation system.

The continuing excellence of the JLSC is undoubtedly supported by the spirit of teamwork, integrity,
accountability principles and professionalism held consistently by the JLSC secretariat.

In conclusion, I express my deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to the JLSC secretariat for
their contribution to the success of the JLSC this year. This success would not have been possible
without the exceptional cooperation, commitment, dedication and discipline of the JLSC secretariat.
